Bilal Basrai saw the benefits that hard work would bring him from an early age, which is why he chose to study two majors when he attended college. He quickly gravitated to Wall Street with the intention of working for some of the largest financial institutions in the world and his work ethic soon allowed him to carve out a niche for himself. His early years in the financial world saw him develop an expertise in the healthcare sector, which in turn brought him to the attention of some of the most prominent banking institutions in the United States, including Salomon Smith Barney, UBS Financial and Lehman Brothers, all of whom he worked for as an investment banker and corporate financial analyst during his time on the street.

His skills soon led to respect from his peers as well, with the Starmine Monitor determining that he generated excess industry returns of 11.1% during his time on Wall Street, which led to the respected ranking company selecting him as the seventh best stock picker in the health sector as a result. He also found himself in regular contact with financial publications like the Wall Street Journal, who often asked him for quotes on issues surrounding the health sector.

When all was said and done, Basrai was involved in healthcare sector transactions that totaled more than $4.6 billion during his career on Wall Street.

Today, Bilal Basrai has decided to step away from Wall Street for the time being and looks to continue his 18-year career a little closer to home. He has moved back to Chicago in order to be closer to his family.
