Bethany Kludt, a nursing student, is excited to enter the nursing field. She is nearing the end of her studies and cannot wait to become a registered nurse. Her desire to become a nurse began when she was a teenager. As she entered high school, Kludt was interested in the life sciences and knew that she wanted to help people.

Once in college, Bethany Kludt loved all of her nursing classes, learning the way the human body worked and how different medications affected the body was something that interested her. It was her rotations at the hospital that fortified her desire to be a nurse. For Kludt, it is the interaction with patients that she enjoys the most. She thinks that she can learn something from each patient every time she interacts with them.

Kludt believes that nurses play a significant role in the recovery of their patients. Nurses spend the most time with their patients and are often the first ones to know if there is a reaction to a medication, or if they are having pain. Great nurses can anticipate these pain and medication related issues and alleviate them before the problem gets worse. Kludt wants to be an excellent nurse. She is learning as much as she can from the wards and the nurses that are teaching her.

At this point in her career, Bethany Kludt does not know what type of nursing that she wants to do as a career. Kludt has enjoyed working on the wards and in private practices. She has found that she enjoys working with the patients in both settings and feels that she can make a contribution to helping her patients in both.

Nursing is a profession that Bethany has wanted to join since she was young. As she gets closer to graduating and becoming a registered nurse, Bethany Kludt is becoming more focused on her studies and deciding on the type of clinical setting where she is going to help her patients.
