Michael Padova's new business venture aims to integrate tenants into the property management process.

Frequently, tenants feel as though they are the victims in the property rental market. They pay every month for the privilege of renting space, but many feel that they are constantly beleaguered and forced to follow rules and regulations that sometimes seem archaic. Tenants often feel that they are under scrutiny from the landlord and that any malfunction that they report will be automatically blamed on them. Michael Padova sees this as a problem and aims to use his new business venture, Barefoot Property Management, to help alleviate the stress on tenants. “What we have to realize within the property management game,” Michael Padova says, “is that tenants have just as much stress and pressure put on them every day as the property owners do.” Michael Padova understands that certain things must be kept constant, like the requirement that tenants pay their rent on time and do not destroy things, but Michael Padova believes that many of the tenants are scared to ask for maintenance requests when dealing directly with a landlord. “Landlords are frequently intimidating figures,” Michael Padova explains, “They sometimes seem like mysterious, powerful men who will happily kick you out if you create too much work for them to do.” Michael Padova wants his new property management firm to be approachable when it comes to tenant relations. If the firm is equally accessible from both sides of the equation, the landlords will not have to deal with multiple tenant requests. Instead, they can simply check in with Michael Padova as his company handles the legwork. While the primary focus will be on helping landlords with upkeep and management, Michael Padova also hopes that tenants will feel comfortable bringing concerns and maintenance requests to his company. “Our goal is to provide an avenue through which tenants can ensure that their quality of life stays at the highest possible level.”

Michael Padova hopes that this new emphasis on accessibility will boost business and increase happiness within his customer base. Michael Padova is optimistic about public reactions to the new emphasis on tenant relations, and looks forward to future advances in the field of property management.
