This is quite different from American cities, in which the automobile was intended to be used for transportation.

Another one of Ashley Zehnder's favorite places in Europe is Barcelona, Spain. This is another old city with many buildings that were built centuries ago. She loves the lifestyle of Spaniards living in Barcelona. There is an emphasis on enjoying meals with friends and family; the hectic pace of life that is present in America is not present in Spain. A good thing about traveling in Europe is that it can be accomplished entirely by train. It is also fascinating to take a step back into European history and see how the fates of certain monarchs had huge effects on the rest of the continent. There are also countless museums and monuments that have preserved ancient artifacts.

Europe is simply strikingly different from America, says Ashley Zehnder. For a person who grew up in America, Europe is a breath of fresh air. This is not to take away from the greatness of America at all. People who grew up in Europe probably view America as being a breath of fresh air. It is all a matter of perspective, which is why traveling is so important for an individual to become more well-rounded.
