Arthur Carl Kanev became a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale’s mission committee in 2010. Since that year, he has worked tirelessly to help organize mission trips all over the world. He believes in helping others and visiting communities that are impoverished and developing.

Missionaries can help these communities develop economic stability and grow. Kanev has participated in more than 20 different mission trips and has used his skills to help a wide array of communities throughout the world.

Arthur Carl Kanev has many different skills to offer developing communities. He is a retired dentist with years of experience. He, along with his fellow missionaries, can work with these communities and teach them how to stay healthy and prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses.

Between 1986 and 1987, Kanev designed and constructed 27 homes in Brigantine, New Jersey. After this accomplishment, he built the J.B. Damier Technical School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and then he designed a 200 bed hospital, also in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 1987. He has an extensive knowledge on building design and construction. He donates these skills to struggling communities and helps build essential structures. He is a skilled missionary who travels all over the world. While he is on a mission trip, he can consult with other missionaries and help build medical clinics, dental clinics, schools, hospitals, homes, and other vital structures.
