The achievements and life experiences of RN Angela Lynn Rapley

Angela Lynn Rapley was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. She knew from an

early age that she wanted to help people, so she set her sights on being a

nurse. She went to the University of Missouri and graduated from the College

of Nursing as an RN. Not long after her graduation, she passed her NCLEX

(National Council Licensure Examination) and got a job at the SSM Cardinal

Glennon Children’s Hospital, also in her native St. Louis Missouri.

Five years ago, Angela married her husband, and a year later they were blessed

with a daughter, who is now four years old. Though her job as an RN at the

Children’s hospital and her family keep her very busy, she also makes time to

volunteer. She volunteers at World Impact, an organization that brings Church

homes to those in inner city areas. She also volunteers at a local soup

kitchen, feeding the homeless in St. Louis.

Angela Lynn Rapley is also very passionate about exercise. She enjoys

running, biking, hiking and swimming. She has begun training and hopes to be

able to compete in an Ironman Triathlon soon. One of the reasons she enjoys

running, biking and hiking is because it gives her a chance to enjoy being in

nature, something that helps her relax and unwind from the stresses of her

job.

Angela Lynn Rapley also enjoys taking her family for trips to the mountains

and the beach, so they can bond as family and teach her daughter to love the

outdoors. She will often bring a book to the beach to read as she relaxes by

the waves. Her favorite books are mysteries and biographies, but she enjoys

other genres as well. She loves to use an e-reader for when she is traveling,

but prefers the weight of a real book she can write in the margins of when

she’s in the comfort of her own home.

With ten years of nursing experience under her belt, Angela Lynn Rapley is

beginning to feel like she is making a difference in the world as a registered

nurse. Though the hours are long and the job can be stressful, the reward of

helping others is more than enough for her. She hopes to teach her daughter to

have compassion for others and to dedicate her life to serving those who are

in need.
