Amy M Lavine, the owner of SKETCH Art Supplies in Hudson, New York, is pleased to announce that she is now offering fine art framing services.

Lavine opened SKETCH in July 2012 after recognizing a need for a retail art supply business in the trendy, upstate city. “Hudson has been known for its art scene for years,” she says, “but artists had to go to Albany or New York City to get their supplies.” Not long after opening, her clientele also began asking Lavine to provide framing services. After starting with pre-fabricated frames and limited on-site framing services, Amy M Lavine expanded the shop in 2014 to include a framing studio where she now offers a full range of fine art framing options.

Lavine first learned to cut mats and assemble frames as a teenager when she worked for her mother, a watercolor painter and gallery owner then based in Maryland. She says she's always had an interest in conservation and art presentation.
