With a degree in both medicine and business, he has managed to become one of the few seasoned executive physicians in the nation that have the ability to provide strong leadership skills while incorporating good business sense into effective healthcare solutions. It’s a nice package of qualities that have taken years to come together, and Amish Purohit is proud of the journey he has taken to get to this point.

From a young age, he always knew his career would be in the medical professional. He pursued a bachelor's degree in Public Administration at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and then boosted this with a master's degree in Health Administration from Penn State University. This background would be crucial for the initial health roles he would step into, and would provide the necessary knowledge to understand how to run healthcare systems and the staff involved in maintaining them.

Early in his career, Amish Purohit learned that having passion for the job and endearing to become the best would take him far. As an Employee Health Medical Director at Gila River Health Care, he was charged with overseeing the administrative and medical aspects of three ambulatory clinics. It was a role that he was expected to handle with professionalism and dedication. To his benefit, he already had a taste of what it took to deliver under high-pressure situations, thanks in part to his medical physician days in the Air Force.

At the Arizona Priority Care Plus Center in Chandler, Arizona where he works today, Amish Purohit appreciates the various responsibilities he’s had to handle in his career. Blessed with leadership qualities that he’s worked hard to sharpen, he was always an easy pick when the organizations he worked for were looking to fill leadership positions. It also helped that he also demonstrated skills and a desire for excellence that few could match. Supervisors and colleagues love him for it, and he takes every accolade in humility.

Few can match what Amish Purohit has accomplished, but he has a message for those that wish to blaze a trail in their respective careers: always put your best foot forward.
