Alan Faustino is a talented businessperson, doctor and entrepreneur in Absecon, New Jersey. Faustino grew up amidst racism and physical violence, but with the encouragement and guidance of his parents pursued his education and achieved his dream. Faustino was born in 1967 in Houston, Texas. He studied at Radford High School, and later at Radford University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry. He went on to pursue his education at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Faustino trained in surgery at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, and later at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Alan Faustino is the founder and CEO of NextEMR. The company is a pioneer in the medical field and was instrumental in developing and implementing CCHIT-ONC 2011 certified web-based EMR technologies. The company has also been called “best of breed” by several consultants in the Hospice and Palliative Care area. Faustino was successful in raising over 3 million dollars of capital for his company NextEMR over a short period. He planned and organized three rounds of fundraising and raised the much-needed capital for the company. Within a short span of three years, the company was evaluated at six million dollars. However, later Alan sold his interest to a publically held company. As the founder of NextEMR, and NJR Healthcare, two successful companies, Faustino has shown himself to be a talented entrepreneur.
Success as a doctor, businessperson and entrepreneur has not made Faustino sit back on his laurels but has motivated him to pursue his MBA in finance. Faustino is planning to move over to the next phase of his life. He plans to get into the healthcare information technology industry and start a company that would offer innovative solutions to doctors and patients. Alan Faustino has always had a positive attitude and has never let circumstances and situations stop him from going ahead in life.
