FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl. — Purealizer Industries, announced that the Purealizer UVGI fixture is among the products recognized in the 2016 AHR Expo Innovation Awards Competition.

The awards give special recognition to over 2,000 exhibiting companies that have developed the most creative and innovative product on the market in their category. The Purealizer represents a new generation of air disinfection, all within a compact 2’x 2’ fixture which can be easily installed into a drop ceiling grid which operates 24/7 to ensure air disinfection. Once installed, the system operates quietly, without supervision or having to close off valuable space in healthcare facilities.

Designed primarily for the healthcare market, the Purealizer has broader applications in commercial buildings, especially in schools given that airborne microorganisms disproportionately affect adolescents. Once installed, the Purealizer provides uninterrupted disinfection, eliminating microorganisms and pathogens which could be harmful for both children and adults.

The Innovation Awards competition is jointly sponsored by the AHR Expo, ASHRAE and AHRI with the primary purpose of the Awards to inspire innovation, product and technology development.

Representing a broad cross-section of the HVAC-R marketplace, the winning entries were selected in 10 categories and represent the most innovative new products among the thousands that will be displayed at the Show. The panel of judges for the AHR Expo Innovation Awards competition consists of leaders in the field of HVAC&R and plumbing.

Judges individually review each submission and give the product a rating of 1-10 for each of the criteria, Application, Innovation, Value and Market Impact. The ratings are combined for a maximum score of 40. The product with the highest final score is the winner for that category. Products with close scores are recognized with honorable mentions.
