Augustus Invictus Calls for Wal-Mart Boycott

U.S. Senate Candidate Augustus Invictus is making a national stir by calling for a boycott of Wal-Mart stores nationwide in support of free speech.

“The Confederate flag is a symbol of the Southern way of life. It is historical, and does not represent evil,” Invictus remarked. “To say the Confederate battle flag – a symbol of Confederate States of America and a part of our history – is about slavery, is akin to saying that the American flag is about genocide and concentration camps.”

“The War Between the States was not fought over slavery,” commented historian Wayne Jackman. “The Civil War was fought over the oppression and liberal views of the northeastern States being inflicted on the southern states under the guise of federal authority.”

Augustus Invictus and his Senate Campaign are working hard to organize boycotts of Wal-Mart, “not because they banned the Confederate Flag, not because they honor the ISIS flag in spite of banning the Confederate Flag, but because any suppression of free speech must be strongly opposed,” said Thomas R. Reich, campaign manager for Augustus Invictus for U.S. Senate.

“What will be banned next, the flag of Israel for not doing exactly what the administration wants? What about the Union Jack (British Flag) for atrocities against the U.S. and the rest of the world? Where will it stop?” said Vicki Kirkland, former Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Florida and member of the Libertarian Party National Committee.

“So far we have seen phenomenal reaction and sharing on Reddit about the Wal-Mart Boycott,” Reich commented. “We have reports of protests outside Wal-Marts in Jacksonville, Daytona, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport.”

“The goal of this boycott is not to destroy Wal-Mart. After all, Sears, K-Mart, and others stores are joining in the assault on free speech by banning the Confederate flag, as well,” Invictus commented. “But Wal-Mart spearheaded this travesty and doubled down when they made a cake displaying the ISIS flag and refused to make a similar cake with the Confederate Flag.”
