Association of African Entrepreneurs (AAE) Launches Goal To Build E-Coaching & Training Center For Young Entrepreneurs in Ghana

The Association of African Entrepreneurs is made up of volunteers and partners who work together to provide information, tools and resources to entrepreneurs throughout the continent. The association has its main office in Ghana, and operates mainly through its online and website services with meetings being held in those African countries where it has a national representative or partner.

The AAE E-coaching and E-learning center, in partnership with local labor associations and formal educational institutions, offers free training courses to provide skills in business, technology, basic economics and micro-finance. The program matches experienced mentors to young entrepreneurs, and the association encourages online applications from both those seeking to learn and those seeking to teach.

Amongst other services, the AAE website offers two free e-books. Africa Guide to Business 2012 gives detailed information on available resources, economic status, risks and ideal ventures in each country in Africa. Entrepreneurs in Africa: Hopes and Mirages highlights the opportunities and challenges for businesses in Africa and provides advice on how to work constructively with local governments and communities.

Through the website, entrepreneurs can also acquire a free e-commerce catalogue which includes software, hosting, and live user support for up to 100 products.

Regular articles and newsletters keep members up to date with research and information, enabling them to make informed decisions based on the prevailing social, political and economic climate in their countries of operation. A comprehensive business directory is available. The Help Centre provides access to financial and technological resources, and offers a forum for discussion. AAE hosts trade fairs, conferences, and exhibitions in participating countries to inform members about new business concepts and technologies, and to facilitate exposure and networking opportunities.

As well as offering free membership to entrepreneurs working anywhere in Africa, the association provides opportunities for volunteers who wish to contribute to sustainable development by sharing their time and skills online.
