About Pritesh Kasliwal:
Pritesh Kasliwal works as a Patent Agent for Red Hat in Raleigh, NC. Pritesh has helped Red Hat in creating a defensive patent portfolio to promote open source contributions. In the last five years with Red Hat, Pritesh has reviewed hundreds of invention disclosures on complex technological aspects involving operating
systems, cloud, middleware, virtualization & storage domains. Pritesh is an open source enthusiast and strongly believes that open-source technology collaboration is the future of innovation.

In the past, he has worked at General Electric's Automation and Controls business as an Intellectual Property Engineer. At GE, Pritesh was highly regarded in the business for his expertise in patent engineering analysis. He judged over 1,000 patent disclosures as a co-chairperson of the patent evaluation board at GE’s control business. Pritesh has received the GE APAF National Award for Excellence in a legal role.

Before GE, Pritesh was with CPA Global where he helped CPA Global’s clients win multi-million dollar patent disputes. He also played a major role in performing patent engineering work in a patent litigation for one of the world’s largest manufacturers of AirCraft Engines.

Pritesh has a Masters degree in Engineering from Villanova University and Bachelors in Engineering from Government Engineering College Ujjain, India. Pritesh is also a theatre actor, voice-over artist, college basketball and cricket fan. He likes to do yoga and meditation in his leisure time.
