What Can Be Worse Than All That Fat Around Your Stomach

Many animals do this and it would have come in quite handy for our ancestors who didn't have the convenience of being able to run down to the grocery store whenever they ran out of something.

These are Carbohydrates, Protein, and Fat and how the body uses fat and carbohydrates for the fuel it needs varies depending on the nutrient, and once you understand it, you will know what it means for your fat loss. All three of these nutrients are broken down very differently in the body, but they make up 100% of the energy that you need. Here's a quick overview of how the process works. As you eat, your body digests the nutrients in your food and breaks them down in the small intestine. Carbohydrates are broken down into sugars, proteins are broken down into amino acids, and fats are broken down into fatty acids and something called glycerol.

Carbs- As you eat carbs, they are broken down into sugars. Depending on how refined they are will often depend on how quickly they digest in your intestine. As you absorb the sugars, you automatically store any needed sugars as glycogen and use it later any time you need energy. Any excess carbs are then stored as fat for long term energy.

Protein- At its most basic, protein is made up of something called amino acids. These are the building blocks that create the protein, and they are the building blocks that create your muscle tissue. Because of their complexity, it takes longer for the stomach to digest and properly break down protein. Protein can be made up of 20 different amino acids. 8 of these are essential for the you to function, 9 of them cannot be absorbed by your body.
