Solar Power - Big Changes Come From Small Steps

At the time of writing, I do not have any example costings so it is very hard to say whether this system will mean cheaper solar or not.

The system lends itself to scalability. Because each module is self contained, the user can use as many or as few modules in their installation as required. The panels can be built up in multiples of 200 watts AC and the restricting factor (apart from cost) is the size of the location for the installation. It isn't hard to imagine the potential of Greenray's Sunshine AC Module as it is suitable both for new build and existing build. The units are also pretty flexible from a power point of view being capable of automatically achieving a balanced grid connection at 120 or 240 volts.

One aspect of Greenray that should give us encouragement is the quality of the company. Although a relative newcomer as the business has only been in existence since 2006, the four founders of the company are all solar veterans with over 60 years experience behind them. They were involved in the world's first modular solar unit in the late 90's so they should be the right men for the job. The company also seems to have financial backing so the future for what the Greenray describes as their 'solar appliance' looks bright.
