Going to the city center of Nice from airport is therefore easy and there's no shortage of options.

Located at the end of the famous Promenade des Anglais 6 km away from the city center, Nice Airport is the second largest airport in France. It is also one of the most accessible in the world. Going to the city center from airport is therefore easy and there's no shortage of options.

Take a cab
Travelers don’t have to struggle to find a taxi outside Nice airport terminals since a large fleet of luxury cabs (most of them are German models like Mercedes or Audi) are waiting people who have just landed in Nice and are willing to go downtown. With some companies, booking is free, but do not forget to bring cash to pay the fare as taxis rarely accept credit cards. And if Monaco is your final destination, an helicopter taxi ensures about 24 daily transfers from Nice airport to Monaco.

Take the bus
If you do not carry heavy luggage and do not mind taking public transport, the bus is the cheapest way to move from airport to your accommodation.
Nice is served by Ligne d'Azur, the bus network managed by the municipality. Lines 98 and 99, that both depart from Terminal 2 then pick passengers up at Terminal 1, are dedicated to airport transfer service. Line 98 connects the airport to Nice-Riquier station through the Promenade des Anglais, Vieux-Nice, Place Garibaldi and the port. Line 99 heads to Thiers train station via the Promenade and Boulevard Gambetta.

Rent a car
If you prefer the comfort of a private car with or without a private driver, you can rent one from the numerous agencies established in Nice that offer a wide range of brands and models. It is the ideal solution to move freely in the area, especially if you wish to visit nearby locations such as Antibes, Cannes or Villefranche-sur-Mer.

Take the train
The train is an interesting solution if you have to reach one of the neigbouring towns but do not want to rent a car. Depending on your destination, you can use Thiers train station in the city center, Gare Saint-Augustin in the west or Nice-Riquier station, which is located in the east. Bus and taxis can take you there but if you are a first-timer, it might be easier to take the airport shuttle up to Arénas stop.
