Al-Duqm, Oman – May 2, 2025 – Darkocean Geostar UAE has successfully completed the fieldwork phase of a vital offshore geotechnical investigation at the Special Economic Zone in Duqm, Oman. Finalized in April 2025, this work supports the development of a future Green Ammonia plant, a cornerstone of Oman’s sustainable industrial goals.

The fieldwork provided essential data through:
• Deep and shallow borehole drilling at strategic marine locations
• Comprehensive Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) across the site
• Detailed assessments of pipeline routes and marine infrastructure anchor points

This high-accuracy data collection is critical for the planned ammonia plant, aligning with Oman’s Vision 2040 for economic diversification and green energy leadership. Darkocean Geostar is also currently in the process of acquiring oceanographic data for the same site to further enhance project planning and environmental compliance.
