Chopard L.U.C Time Traveler One

The first ever worldtime watch in the Chopard’s L.U.C series, the Time Traveler One is created as a companion for the globetrotters. Its debut marks the 20th anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture, creating a new milestone for the luxury watchmaker to be in touch with the inner wanderlust. This horological wonder indicates time anywhere in the world, beautifully worn on the wrist with a rich, dressy accent that comes in three different variations.

Blankets of layers make up the L.U.C Time Traveler One, like the earth’s atmosphere. A subtle central hand directs the date, while the running railway track in circle portrays the hours and minutes of the local time zone. Everything is swept by the Dauphine stylized hands that are typical of the L.U.C watches. This function can be adjusted by a crown at 2 o’clock. A step outward is a larger, 24-hour graduated ring, operating in harmony with the disk that bears the reference cities, symbolizing the 24 main time zones. Using the 4 o’clock crown, the 2nd time zone can be synchronized with the local time. Travelers then, even in a jiffy, can read international hours as they trot around the world.

Visually, the L.U.C Time Traveler One is nothing but outstanding. The stainless-steel version stars a sunburst black dial dabbed with contrasting accents in orange. The worldtime ring stands out remarkably with a slate gray portion that indicates the night, and a silver half for the day. This particular design comes in an 18k rose gold version too; the dial radiates with a shimmering silver tone. Here, the night-time hours are showcased in deep blue hues upon the 24-hour disc. And lastly, the third interpretation is crafted with a platinum case and a cool gray shade. A subtle blue gray dial is paired with a silver toned worldtime ring.

Each of these models come with 42mm diameter dial, ideal for comfort and legibility. Inside, the watches beat with an all new caliber developed and produces inside the brand’s workshop in Fleurier. The self-winding Caliber 01.05-L is discernible with its 6.52mm thickness and comes with a 60-hour power reserve. Visual components are embellished with Côtes de Genève and chamfering, and such meticulous work can be admired through the transparent case back.

Promising 50-meters water resistance and packed with a COSC certified Chronometer, the L.U.C Time Traveler One is something to be relished. Adore its Arabic typography and rhodium covered hands. The watch can be adorably worn with its alligator leather strap with alligator leather lining for extra refinement.
