International Trade Council Announces Appointment of Andrew Borland as the Council's Chairman

The International Trade Council today announced the appointment of Andrew Borland as the Council's new Chairman for the United Kingdom

 
The International Trade Council today announced the appointment of Andrew Borland as the Council's new Chairman for the United Kingdom. Ms. Melanie Walker, the Council's Member Executive Chair, welcomed the appointment and thanked her fellow board members for their support in the extensive search.

Andrew has an active interest in current affairs, and works with various trade bodies and marketing consortia to promote business in his area. He is keen to help the ITC grow in the UK and to promote trade relations to secure continuity and stability with the UK’s trading partners during and after the Brexit negotiations. He is also keen to extend the benefits of trading relations from London to Midlands and Northern counties.

In making the announcement today, Ms. Walker said:

"It is of immense satisfaction, both personally and on behalf of all Council members, that we have been able to attract Mr. Borland to lead in the role of the United Kingdom Chairperson at a time of great challenges seen in the region. I have no doubt that under Andrew's guidance the Council will expand its local outreach services and increase its contributions to the business community."

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew said: “I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity to work with the Council and its team. I look forward to incorporating my professional experiences and deploying win-win strategies to benefit UK businesses both within the country and abroad.”
