Heavyweight Boxer Derek Candelore Defeats Flood City's Previously Undefeated Laron Chambers

Heavyweight Boxer Derek Candelore put on a show for the crowd beating previously undefeated boxer Laron Chambers last night in a Main Event that attracted many of the Pittsburgh's decorated Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Professional Athletes.

In a bout that was expected to go down to the wire, Candelore took the first and third rounds handily knocking down Chambers once in each round and getting a standing- eight count on Chambers just as the fight ended. All 3 Judges scored the fight easily for Candelore as is speed and skill were on display from the onset. Candelore went from 232lbs to 209 to make a "catch weight" for the fight with Chambers. A ringside boxing pundit Larry Chisolm said of Candelore post fight "He's (Candelore) got as much talent as anybody I've seen on the amateur level" "And I've seen a lot of boxing". Adding "His jab seems to stifle his opponents".

Candelore trains out of Power Kick Academy in North Versailles, Pa under trainer Adam Hartman and also travels the Tri-State area to local boxing gym sparring with other respectable fighters. Candelore is Currently working with US Toughman Champion Lee "All Lee" McGinnis and Ricky Carter in Monroeville, PA.
