Drinking clean and pure water from Antarctica

Ice enters the sheet through snow and frost and leaves by calving of icebergs and melting, usually at the base but also sometimes at the surface at warm sites

South Africa is always running out of the water. Not just particular town infect the entire country. The problem of Water crisis South Africa is most immediate in the Mother City, but the country has been overexploiting its national water system for around the years, and the consequences are becoming obvious. High per-capita usage rates of South Africa are also, partly, a function of high levels of non-revenue water that is unaccounted for – in South Africa this is mostly through many physical leaks and a high reliance on water-intensive coal-fired power plants for electricity. Finally, the country is overly dependent on surface water and doesn’t sufficiently use many other resources like groundwater.

South Africa is suffering from a water shortage. Since January 2016 the City of Cape Town has declared many water shortage and restrictions. Residents are bracing for rolling power cuts that could last up to two years following extreme water shortage in South Africa. These affect schools, institutes, and residents but also tourists.

The Antarctic bottom water can be found at the very bottom of the ocean, directly overlying the sea floor. This cold, pure and clean salty and therefore dense Water from the Antarctic spreads across the very much deep, abyssal (greater than 3000 m) plains of the global ocean and can be easily found as far north as the equator. It also plays an important and major role in the carbon cycle with the uptake of carbon via the biological pump. The Antarctic ice sheet is the largest single mass of ice on the entire earth.
