Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, is one of the best universities in Punjab. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Suleman Tahir is focused on quality education and research. Under his supervision, it was decided to engage foreign university professors and they will deliver lectures to students as visiting or guest experts. It was hoped that it would enhance the exposure of the students. Today, a webinar title ‘Pursuit of Peace and Purpose of Life’ was arranged by the Department of Life Sciences for the students and faculty. The guest speaker was Prof Dr. Abdul Ahad. He belongs to Bangladesh and working as a Dean in the Chittagong University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bangladesh. He is also a faculty member in the Department of Microbiology and Veterinary Public Health at the Chittagong University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bangladesh. He has been involved in teaching for more than 19 years. Primarily he teaches virology, immunology, molecular biology and food microbiology to DVM and Food Science graduates. He has published 37 articles in national and international peered review journals. He has research interest in viral disease, zoonotic disease and immunology. The chief guest of the session was the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Suleman Tahir and in his welcome address, he thanked Prof. Dr. Abdul Ahad and re-endorsed the conduction of such sessions for all classes of the department. The guest speaker delivered the lecture (Online) and appreciated the efforts of the organizers of the session Dr. Majeeda Rasheed, Dr. Tanveer Ahmad, Dr. M. Ubaidullah and Ms Safia Niaz. In the end, the dean of all faculties Prof. Dr. Asghar Hashmi, and Head of the Life Sciences department thanked all participants. Dr. Aleem Ashraf, Dr. Farkhanda Yasmeen and Dr. Saghir Hussain were also there.
