Pistol Bay, located west of Paphos in an area known as Coral bay, Peyia, remains one of the most spectacular shore dive sites in Paphos. The dive site provides easy access via an established route along sloping rocks. Depths range from five metres to deeper than twenty metres, with breathtaking natural topography attractions. This includes various Swim Throughs, Boulder Fields, Turtle Rocks, Reefs, Walls and Sea Grass Beds.
The abundance of marine life that can be spotted at this spectacular site are Turtles, Morays, Cuttlefish, Octopus, Barracuda, Pipefish, Damsel Fish, Bream, Wrasse, Scorpion fish and so much more.
The amphitheatre is another popular dive site to visit while on a diving excursion in Paphos. It is conveniently located and borders Pistol Bay. Divers use the same access path along rocks to enter the location.
The depth of the Amphitheatre ranges from five to twenty metres. The name is derived from a natural underwater feature with an uncanny resemblance to a real Amphitheatre. The shape was formed due to many centuries of natural erosion.
Qualified teams from Pissouri Bay Divers accompany keen diving groups to Edro III, which was a cargo vessel on route from Sierra Leone. It, unfortunately, ran aground in the area of Sea Caves Peyia during 2011, now lying with a heavy Port Side list grounded along the shoreline, while being overlooked by Oniro by the Sea Restaurant.
Easy access is gained to the point of entry and depths are shallow, ranging from two to four metres until reaching the Wreck. By following the Bow Anchor Chain, depths of more than twenty metres can be reached.
Diving sites in Paphos offers a rocky seabed with features including walls, swim throughs and sea grass fields. An abundance of Mediterranean Sea life as well as sightings of the rare Mediterranean Monk Seal have been reported by keen divers in the area.
