There is a reason for this, it is some of the best wreck dive locations in the world, which includes the MS Zenobia. There was a new wreck, which was deliberately sunk in 2019 to form part of the artificial reef, which has also become a very popular dive site.

Everyone that goes scuba diving in Larnaca wants to visit the MS Zenobia, an amazing shipwreck. This roll on roll off vessel sand due to technical problems in 1980. The Swedish built boat was only on her second voyage and was on her way to Syria with one hundred and four articulated lorries and their cargo. One had a load of eggs, many of which can still be seen on the seabed.

The MS Zenobia lies on her port side in forty two metres of water and divers can access all levels on the starboard side at eighteen metres. It is an ideal wreck dive for all diving courses from advanced to challenging technical courses.

Elpida was deliberately sunk in December 2019. It is a sixty three metre cargo ship, which lays around thirty metres on the sea bed with upper deck accessible at twenty metres. This wreck is already attracting marine life, making it an exciting and interesting dive attraction in Larnaca.
