Philip Sandler Attorney Becomes Illinois Registered C.P.A.

Posted October 3, 2016 by philipsandl

Philip Sandler has obtained his B.S. in Accountancy at the University of Illinois.

In order to become a registered C.P.A in the state of Illinois, Philip Sandler had to get through a five step process similar to what an attorney is required to complete. The process started with his choosing a featured undergraduate program, as only those who choose featured programs can get registered later. This ultimately influences the worth of the diploma, making it a very important factor in one’s education. University of Illinois offers one of the featured programs, recognized by the Illinois CPA Society.

Philip Sandler Attorney -- who is also an attorney, having obtained a law degree -- earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree at the Illinois University, a registered, Illinois-based institution. As a result, he was eligible for the Illinois Uniform CPA Exam, a test that accountants take after completing their educational requirements. International candidates usually have to pay a onetime extra fee to be able to take the exam. After the candidates have submitted their credentials (diploma), and these have been evaluated, they can proceed to take the exam.

To become an Illinois registered C.P.A, candidates have to take the exam in the state. After a successful examination, the candidate has to pass another test, but this time it is the AICPA’s (The American Institute of CPAs) ethic test. The last stop of the process is earning professional experience working as an accountant, for at least one year. Once a candidate has completed all the requirements, he or she receives their new credentials and becomes a legitimate member of the Illinois CPA Society.

The checklist therefore includes: earning a Bachelor’s or graduate degree at one of the featured programs within the state of Illinois, applying to the Board of Examiners to start the verification of the credentials, taking and passing the required accounting test, meeting the AICPA’s ethical standards, and finally earning professional experience at a company by working as an accountant for at least 12 months.

Philip Sandler is excited to be a certified C.P.A in the state of Illinois.
