As per the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) guidelines, every Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Master Certified Coach (MCC) needs to undergo continuing coach education (CCE) every three years in order to continue with their coaching practice. These ICF CCE hours can be accumulated to achieve ACC, PCC, and MCC credentials. If you have required coaching hours for the desired credentialing level, and also have required mentoring hours and coaching experience then you can apply to ICF under the portfolio path to achieve credential at that level.

Powerhouse Coaching provides 32 ICF CCE hours program to ACCs and PCCs who wish to reactivate their credentials or refresh their skills. It consists of 30 hours of core and 02 hours of resource education, which consists of coach instructions, mentoring, skill-building exercise, and peer coaching with live feedback. The ICF CCE hours master the two bookends of a coaching session, improve their ability to develop trust and safety, and adopt best practices to overcome common fears and avoid coaching pitfalls.

12 weeks, 90 minutes sessions

The 32-hour ICF CCE hours program for ACC and PCC coaches is delivered in 90-minute sessions each over a period of 12 weeks. The CCE hours are divided into 18 Synchronous Hours which are delivered virtually via Zoom, and 14 Asynchronous Hours. Synchronous Hours are super focused on understanding, embodying, and practicing eight ICF core competencies. Asynchronous ICF CCE hours include a combination of coaching, self-assessments, and journaling. Students are paired with a buddy for support, practice, and discussion outside of class. The class size is kept between 6 to 10 only to ensure personalized attention for every participant.

Upgrading from PCC to MCC

For those looking to upgrade from PCC to MCC, Powerhouse Coaching provides 75 75-hour comprehensive coaching program through its super-experienced MCC coach. The program gives PCC coaches the required education and PCC to MCC mentoring hours needed to apply for MCC credentials through ICF. It is divided into 39 Synchronous Hours, and 36 Asynchronous Hours. The 75-hour PCC to MCC coach training is completed in 22 weeks by a super-experienced MCC coach, through 90 minutes sessions each.

Coaching via synchronous and asynchronous hours

39 Synchronous Hours of PCC to MCC are delivered virtually via Zoom. These include four 2-hour practice clinics, and include a combination of instructions, facilitated discussions, coaching practice, and feedback. The program also includes the required 7 hours of group mentor coaching, and three hours of one-to-one mentor coaching. 36 Asynchronous Hours of PCC to MCC program include a combination of coaching, being coached, journaling, independent reading, and reviewing a variety of MCC-level coaching sessions. The program covers deep diving into ICF core competencies, self-development, peer coaching, individual mentor coaching, and beyond competencies. Participants must currently hold an active ICF PCC credential in good standing to enroll for the PCC to MCC course.
