The main fields of application of laser engraving are mechanical, micro-cutting and satin finishing, gold and medical.

In the mechanical sector, 2D and 3D laser engraver are performed on molds, electrodes, punctures, and matrices by moving the 3-axis beam.

Laser technology offers many advantages for engraving metals such as steel (hardened and stainless), aluminum, bronze and alloys, brass, titanium, as well as copper and graphite.

The engraving takes place without direct contact with the workpiece and does not present risks of deformation, abrasion or alteration of the materials, thus resulting also applicable to finished products.

For this reason, identifications such as serial numbers, codes, brands, and logos can be applied in high definition to products and components, by tracing contours, satin surfaces or screened surfaces on the workpiece.

The laser beam also perfectly engraves the shots and the welded parts of the molds, due to possible construction errors or to modifications of the mold itself.

Depending on the type of design and the parameters in use, contouring, filling, emptying and burglary effects can be obtained on the workpiece, satin finishing with differences in contrast and even in color.

One of the advantages of using laser for metal cutting is the possibility of obtaining very narrow and perfectly parallel cutting edges. Moreover, the area of the material that is altered during the cutting operation is extremely small.

The laser allows cutting extremely complex shapes even with very small curvature radii. The piece where the cut is made never undergoes mechanical distortions as instead happens frequently during cutting with other mechanical systems and can have surfaced already coated without these being damaged or modified.

In the goldsmith sector, laser processing takes place on precious metals such as gold and silver, but also non-precious metals such as steel marking punches and copper, and allows the engraving of abbreviations, names, and sentences on rings, bracelets, memorial plate engraving and more. Laser engraving allows precise work on even objects with curved or irregular surfaces.

The use of laser engraving on medical instruments, thanks to its many advantages, is today very common and widespread in the medical industry.

The laser allows any medical device and any type of code to be etched permanently and non-toxic, as well as making markings as an anti-counterfeiting measure, providing all the information necessary to satisfy the main UDI (Unique Device Identification) or MDR (Medical Device Regulation).
