Talented Gold Coaster Sean Bolger is charging into the extreme, high-action world of Rallycross with the support of rally legend Alister McRae and LOCO Energy Racing.

Bolger, a second-generation racer from Helensvale first sampled a Rallycross car earlier this year after a strong career in Karting. “I loved driving the car right from the start – the combination of all wheel drive, heaps of power and racing on both dirt and tarmac was irresistible” says Bolger.

LOCO Energy Racing is supporting Bolger in his quest to take on the Rallycross world in both the USA and Europe. LOCO Energy is a new energy drink to the market and is involved in racing in Europe and now Australia.

LOCO brand ambassador and World Rally legend Alister McRae is mentoring and developing Sean Bolger to help the Helensvale youngster to go all the way to international stardom.

“Sean has heaps of natural talent and desire and I’m helping him to get more out of his Rallycross car and himself so that he’s ready to take on competitors overseas, some of whom were driving rally cars from a very young age” said McRae.

“It’s great to be able to give back to a sport that has been good to me and help a talented young man like Sean – having LOCO Energy involved with both of us is icing on the cake as it puts us both in the same stable at LOCO Energy Racing”.

Apart from intense on-track training sessions with Alister, Sean’s next step on the Rallycross ladder is the upcoming Rallycross round at Lakeside Raceway, Kurwongbah on August 6th.
