There are lots of options for dog owners to consider when deciding to train their dog. This might be reading books or watching videos where you study a particular training method and then set about attempting to duplicate the training exercises with your dog.
You can sign up for puppy or dog training classes with your local pet store or training facility and commit to the class schedule, join a group of other dog owners and follow the trainers program. You must then commit to a regular training schedule at home to practice what you have learned with your dog. You can also look for a private trainer who will come to your home and teach you and your dog their particular program and then you and your pal work on those lessons until the next training session.
All of these dog training methods can be very effective in teaching you and your dog to communicate and to bring about the desired level of obedience from your dog. The common denominator to all of these options is YOUR COMMITMENT. This means your commitment to the type of training you and your dog have learned and more importantly your commitment to the time and consistency it will take for your dog to become efficient at the commands you are teaching. You must also commit to ongoing training for the life of your dog.
Many dog owners are now discovering the benefits of enrolling their dog in a Board and Train program. A Board and Train program is exactly as the name suggests, your dog is boarded for a pre-determined length of time at the training facility and while there, your dog will undergo daily training with a professional dog trainer. When you pick your dog up at the end of the program it is trained and ready to go.
At Perfect Dog For Life we offer one-on-one private e-collar training with owners and their pets. During the 4 to 8 week program we work with you and your dog to teach you our safe, humane, and effective e-collar training program. We teach you exactly how to effectively use e-collar technology to train your dog and we help teach your dog what the e-collar stimulation means and how to pay attention to you and your commands. We spend 1 hour per week together and then, as with other training programs, it is up to you to work with your dog a minimum of 40 minutes per day, every day, working on what you learned at that weeks session.
With our 2 week board and train program we provide safe, comfortable lodgings, we serve meals, give lots of attention and affection to your dog and we spend a minimum of 2 hours per day training with your dog. At the end of the 2 week program your pal is trained to obey all the commands it has been taught, on leash or off leash with or without distractions in any environment. When you pick up your dog we spend 2 – 4 hours working with you to show you exactly how the e-collar works and how to use it to get amazing results from your dog. We are then available by phone, text, or video call to assist with any questions you may have for as long as you own your dog.
Our goal is to take the guess work out training your dog and to help you on your way to having a Perfect Dog For Life.
