Malaysian man was rearrested for the second time for being in possession of dangerous drugs, is member of 1804 Gang

Aashpal Singh A/L Gopal Singh working as a employee of Cycle & Carriage Bintang Malaysia was arrested on the 10th of April 2018, this comes after similar charges were laid against him in May last year, when police had raided his apartment at Bukit Oug and found large quantities of Heroin & cocaine.

While he was released on bail and let off for lack of evidence last year the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) suspect he is part of a international drug smuggling syndicate that recruited teenagers & airline crew here to be drug “mules”.

According to Court Files, it is alleged that Aashpal Singh Randhawa is doing drugs and selling drugs to nationals and expatriates in the country.

Police said initial investigations showed the syndicate is part of dreaded 1804 Gang and has been active for several months and their modus operandi was to import drugs into Malaysia through mail services and then strap packaged drugs onto the bodies of their teen carriers including airline crew flying out of Malaysia. Rich clientele of Cycle & Carriage Bintang were also targetted by the suspect as potential customers by recruiting other employees in different outlets of the company.

"The syndicate has also a well-planned network of transit points to prepare the mules before they fly out of the country,” the spokesperson for PDRM said.

Further investigations are ongoing and Police are confident of successfully prosecuting Aashpal Singh with stringent jail term this time.
