Pavilion Structures has always been known for its excellent approach to building construction, combining innovative excellence and an ever-present need to continue moving forward with the times while still ensuring safety and long-term stability.

Fabric-covered structures have proven their worth time and again with their flexibility, utility, and excellent versatility.

“The value of these ingenious structures stems from their immense versatility, flexibility, and ease of construction. One such type of versatility is expressed in the type and nature of its construction,” says Andrew Gangloff, Owner of Pavilion Structures Canada.

The introduction of Smart Technology

The integration of multifunctional values in technical textiles has become a particular area of interest in recent years. In order to engineer performance in complete fabric systems, the specialized movement toward multifunctional textiles is highly expected to gain momentum in the form of the next generation of textile structures—these so-called smart or interactive textiles.

Pavilion’s portable fabric structures buildings combine smart materials and integrated computing power into a brand new type of fabrics system—the interactive textile structure present in fabric-covered buildings. However, the performances of these smart textile fabric systems have been rather complicated as they are based on multilayer or three-dimensional principles, mainly are put together by means of several processes. Not only is this highly laborious and time-consuming, but it also limits the applicability as some steps rely on the input made by hand.

“Pavilion’s structures are engineered and constructed with a double-truss arch steel system and covered by a spider-weave fire retardant fabric and is complimented by the best warranty in the business. Furthermore, our fabric-covered structures are designed to provide shelter on a relocatable, temporary, or permanent basis, and these innovative fabric-covered structures provide natural lighting and protection from the elements as well as being quick to install,” says Andrew Gangloff, Owner of Pavilion Structures Canada.

Moreover, 3D fabrics are mostly used to create composite structures that replace metal in different kinds of constructions in aerospace, automotive, and military applications. Most recently, they are being incorporated into building constructions with the intention to reduce weight without compromising the strength and quality.

Pavilion continues to introduce innovative technology, which is why this is reflected in all their constructions.
