Paul Brunst is an experienced police officer that shares his firearm training experience and safety standards.

Paul Brunst is a police officer serving and protecting the community in the great state of Colorado. He lives in Denver and like most police officers in this nation, he understands how important it is to have a high level of gun knowledge and gun safety training. For this reason, he does not only engage in the required training for law enforcement. He also spends much of his free time shooting and becoming more and more comfortable with firearms. He not only enjoys this activity but also understands how important this can be for the safety of himself, his brothers in arms, and the general public while he is wearing the badge.

Brunst enjoys going to the shooting range and practicing with guns so that he will always feel comfortable in pressure situations that may involve his firearm. It is so important for anyone who uses artillery to stay acquainted with them and to use them on a regular basis. Neglecting to practice is one of the best ways to fail at anything, especially with such powerful weaponry like a hand gun. He also finds shooting to be an enjoyable activity that can help to relieve stress and even just to have fun with target practice. Most police officers know and understand the stress that can come with their position, and it is great to have a variety of hobbies to help relieve some of those stressors to stay mentally focused and healthy.

In this day and age with a heavy media focus on officer involved shootings, it is more important than ever for police to be acquainted with their firearms. Too many times an officer is found to have accidentally shot someone when they have thought they were using their Taser. This could be more avoidable if officers had a higher familiarity of the difference in feeling between these two very diverse weapons. This is another reason that Paul Brunst enjoys shooting as an activity in his free time. Paul Brunst is not only doing an activity he enjoys but he is also engaging in an action that could someday save a life while he is in the line of duty.
