September 18, 2019, Patients for Change announces the launch of online services that are tailored towards mobile ready, a dynamic online service, and specialized based services that are directly meant for the family. Based on the groups many years of service, insights from the family, research, and experience they’ve had, this service is meant to respond to some of the most complicated needs of the family.

Almost over forty million people in the world currently care for the frail, ill, and sickly adults while juggling the demands of parenting and work without any compensation. The online service will help the caregivers to manage any complex responsibilities across topics such as financial and legal issues, locating in-home assistance, health conditions, out of home resources, communication with healthcare professionals, self-care and training on care tasks.

According to Patients for Change Director, Dr. Kelly, this service will enable the caregivers and the families to get access to the kind of information that they need when they need it. It’s one of the first secure online service delivery service specifically designed for long term caregivers who have little resources, time, and work under a lot of stress. It’s, therefore, believed that this is an invaluable program.

Joining this program is very easy. A caregiver only needs to visit their website and enter their email, password, and zip code. Once the membership has been confirmed, they will be sent a 10-minute questionnaire that they have to complete. Upon completion of the questionnaire, they will be provided with a personalized dashboard loaded with resources and information that they need. This kind of information is not only HIPAA compliant but is also available 24/7. The good thing is that the association will never share or sell personal information.

The resources and information offered include tip sheets and fact, webinars, and videos within the categories of direct care, planning or care, and other self-care services. Members will also have access to the resource locater for national and state resources, an online caregiver support services and live Feed of their Facebook page providing current information, articles and any other details that are relevant to the caregivers.

The main goal of this association and online service is to improve the quality of family caregivers through education advocacy, research, and other services. Through the National Centre for caregiving, they will also provide information on public policy, current social affairs, single payer healthcare for all, and caregiving advocacy.
