Have you ever thought about how would life be if you had the chance of sharing it with a miniature friend of yours? Interesting, presumably! But, what if, one day, that miniature friend grows to leaves to find their own life ? Interesting and beautiful picture book by Patrica that captures innocent friendship and life phases and innocent emotions.

Patricia D. Ensing is an emerging storyteller who takes a keen interest in narrating stories in the most unique ways. Other than playing several roles such as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt in her day to day life, she is a hands-on grandmother to four grandsons. Thus, the bedtime storytelling to the kids during their visits in the summer vacations has inspired her to write her very first children’s book.

Unlike the normal instances where guests bring flowers to the host while visiting their homes, here, the couple brought home a guest along with flowers. Although Marty and its newfound friends are poles apart from each other, the unlikely trio grows comfortable in each other’s presence.

Living in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, the author’s deep-rooted love for nature and adventure is reflected time and again in the book, “Marty’s Road Trip”. The point in the story where couple along with their miniature friend decides to go on a road trip together stands in accordance with the title of the book, “Marty’s Road Trip”. The road trip, similar to the journey of our lives, enables the trio to bond with each other, and bond with nature on individual levels in this brief time.

However, when it was time for Marty to accompany his alike looking friends, did it leave the couple behind? Or, did it stay back with the couple? And, when the inevitable “goodbye” approached, did the couple mourn its demise, or was it easily forgotten? It is for the readers to find out.
