PATNA: A 50-year-old bank manager battling intestinal cancer was flown from Delhi back home. An Air Ambulance Services in Patna so that he could be treated in his home city and spend time with his family.
The jet carrying the manager, along with a doctor and a paramedic, landed in Patna on Monday after covering a distance of a few hours.
The man, a chief general manager with Bank of India, worked in Delhi. The bank took care of his air Ambulance in Patna, a journey that was affordable to the family.
The entire operation was logistically challenging in this pandemic of covid-19, said the company owner. The Midlist flew from Delhi man home covering four time zones.
"Logistically, this was a very challenging transfer because our crew flew within a few hours of flying and reached on time. It was a gigantic sortie all the way Air Ambulance Services from Patna. In the middle, they had to cross a long-distance stretch without any option of landing in the middle. So that was kind of dangerous. But they did it, yes we did it," Dr. Kumar of Patna Air Ambulance said.
During the round trip, the flight had to face bad climatic conditions due to Rainfall throughout the day.
During their return flight, the team got permission for a night halt in Flight.
India has been under lockdown since March 25 to check the spread of coronavirus, where All of the domestic and international commercial passenger flights have been suspended for this time period.
It was not so easy for us to rescue a patient but our team was very dedicated to the task.
