Christopher Mingoia is the mentor for new Principals seeking their standard principal certification through New Jersey Leaders to Leaders (NJL2L). The program is run through the New Jersey Principals and supervisors Association (NJPSA) and provides a range of continuing professional development programs to support new school leaders in successful completion of the State-required 2-year Residency for Standard Principal Certification.
Christopher Mingoia has been working with NJL2L for over 5 years and has successfully mentored 10 new administrators. As a mentor, he has played a key role in guiding the residents while planning and conducting different residency activities. His continual feedback has proved to be instrumental in enhancing the residents’ readiness for the challenges of their school leader positions, and supporting their professional growth.
In accordance with State requirements, Mingoia also completes regular assessment reports for the Residents based on the observations, formal conferences and interactions with them.
About Christopher Mingoia
Christopher Mingoia started his career in September 1999 as a Physical Education/Health teacher for Grades Pre-Kindergarten – 8th at Westminster School #26 in Elizabeth, NJ. From November 2005 to July 2006, he was the School Disciplinarian at Dr. Albert Einstein School No. 29 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Later in August 2006, he started working as a school disciplinarian with Monsignor Joao S. Antao School No. 31. From January 2009 – June 2011, he remained the Vice Principal at Ronald Reagan School No. 30. In July 2011, Christopher Mingoia was appointed as the Principal for Grades Pre-Kindergarten – 8th at Toussaint L’Ouverture – Marquise de Lafayette School No. 6 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. And, since September 2016 - present, he has been a successful Principal North Arlington High School North Arlington, New Jersey.
