Almost four years back, in 2011, the The M-Force name came around for once more. The revival introduced a trend; every year, you’ll find a new, Orient 200m M-Force diver making way into that year’s watch scene, without fail. The three ISO standards (ISO 6425 for diver’s watches, ISO 764 for anti-magnetic watches and ISO 1413 for shock-resistant watches) stay unaltered or are bettered with each release.

The new Orient M-FORCE, like its predecessors, is an authentic sports watch. It’s been almost 18 years (1997) since the name M-Force saw the first daylights; today also it runs on mechanical force. M-Force reads that. The forcefulness of the mechanism made Orient do so, or so it’s said. It didn’t take long for M-Force to get widely acclaimed, but this initial release suddenly went silent and stayed that way for about nine years. The return was dramatic, smarter and more rugged than before. This time, it was ready for scuba diving, with greater shock absorption capability enabled by a special structure. The whole new approach to protection earned them the ISO compliances.

Those who are thinking the M-Force suitable only for the waters must check their superb designs; besides the robust functionality, it is something that can make or break your attire with daily use. So, inevitably, Titanium filled in within sometime, but only for their 47 mm versions. It brought out a dramatically enhanced version of wearability; Titanium’s high resistance to corrosion to keep things going that way through the years. Seawater doesn’t affect Titanium unlike steel, so you got no worry from sweat if you hold a under-the-Sun job. Overall, its greater scratch resistance properties finish in a voluminous design. The M-Force is also lightweight and credit goes to Titanium. That’s another reason behind the popularity of M-Force; it’s lighter on the wrist than many of the well-known diver watches.

However, it seems the Orient M-Force Power Reserve Automatic EL06001H Men’s Watch Beast is one of their most prized creations and the most serious one too! The Beast boasts a further sophisticated in-house movement than before and is several steps higher than the entry-level Mako and Ray. It makes the M-Force Beast a diver’s dive watch and its rather very large size keeps up with its non-standard functions in the movement, a 22-jewel, Orient caliber 40N5A automatic beating at 21,600 bph. But the best part is, this quality and features (date display/power-reserve/hacking seconds/manual wind) do not come together very often; in many of the mid-priced dive watches, you got to sacrifice – in varying proportions – one or the other. Not saying that hacking and hand wind capabilities do not come priced lower than this, but with quality going miles apart.
