Woodmere, NY: Every year, a significant proportion of Haiti’s population suffers from the impact of natural disasters. Hurricanes, storms, floods, torrential rains, droughts, and quakes, all kinds of natural events, keep afflicting Haiti from time to time.
In August 2021, Haitians dealt with yet another earthquake of magnitude 7.2 that caused widespread destruction in the country. This quake made into the worst and the most powerful earthquakes that Haiti has ever seen in the last hundred years. The event has taken over 1,900 lives and has left many people homeless and out of food, shelter, and clothing.
ORGDH is a non-governmental organization striving day in and day out to help Haiti earthquake victims. With volunteers and donators from all over the US, the organization has successfully carried out various community development programs in Haiti. After the 2021 earthquake, the organization has called everyone to donate to Haiti.
A senior representative, talking about ORGDH’s Haiti disaster recovery fund, said, “We’re on a mission to help Haitians access reliable and quality food, shelter, and education. Natural disasters keep afflicting the country and lead to severe destruction. Mass homelessness, food and water scarcity, and the absence of community infrastructure have left many Haitians feeling stuck and hopeless. We call for donations to increase our COVID relief services, community development in Haiti, and the Haiti Earthquake fund.”
ORGDH has initiated several programs to help poor and needy individuals and families worldwide. Currently, the organization’s focusing on Haiti earthquake victims who are in dire need of support and empathy. There are hundreds of volunteers and donors who entrust ORGDH for sending adequate and timely support to Haitians.
The organization has also been working on micro-enterprise projects, health funds, and secure housing programs for Haiti.
“After the 2010 earthquake, we provided disaster recovery aid to Haitians. Following the quake, the 2016 Matthew Hurricane again destroyed the country’s infrastructure. Right now, Haitians are again suffering from the impact of another earthquake. And hence, it’s more important than ever for us to join hands to help Haiti children and earthquake victims,” the senior representative continued.
For ORGDH, even the smallest donation is highly valuable. They look up to people who have resources that can help Haiti victims and other needy people worldwide.
