The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest Central Armed Police Force in India which is operated under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Indian Government. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is established on 27th July 1939 and the Governing body of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the Ministry of Home Affairs (India). b) Manning and guarding of Police Station and the National Prison;
c) Mobile patrolling;
d) Security escorts and so on.

In India the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the only Para Military Force that has appointed three Female Battalions who are positioned in duty in Ayodhya, Manipur, Assam, and also in many different parts of the country in which the female battalions are performing admirable job.

The current function and power of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is to take abroad operation as a part of IPKF and the peacekeeping assignments of the UN as well as to guard the India’s internal security. Moreover, in India from 2010, onwards the Central Reserve Police Force is recognized as the largest paramilitary organisation.
