Olof Marcus Kangro was born in Sweden in 1979. He has two older brothers. After high school, he did a mandatory service in the military. Up to a few years ago, Sweden had mandatory service that required anyone in good health and with a good evaluation to serve. He served for a year. After the military, he continued his studies and after graduating with a Masters in Strategic Management from the University of Lund. He got a job as a Financial Advisor at Swedbank and worked at there for almost five years, handling everything from investments, retirement saving, and mortgages for over 300 clients.

Olof Marcus Kangro met his wife in 2008 at his brother's wedding in New York. They dated for over a year until they decided to move in together in New York. They got married in June 2010. In 2011 they had a formal wedding for over 300 guests. Since his wife is Indiana, the wedding spanned over three days with different Indian celebrations. In September that same year, they went on a honeymoon to South America. They stayed in Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, the Amazons and in Salvador Bahia. This trip was excited and they saw dolphins, went piranha fishing, hiked in the jungle, held a sloth, and touched an anaconda.

Toward the end of 2010, he got a temporary job at Bloomberg in New Jersey. At Bloomberg, he worked as a research analyst focusing on Scandinavian companies. He left Bloomberg after being approached by another company and accepted a job offer at AXA advisors. As a former financial advisor in Sweden, he was very excited about working as an advisor in New York. He stayed at AXA for 6 months. A few months later he got a job at his current employer. In May of 2012 his son was born. His life changed for the better and he considers becoming a father the greatest achievement in his life. At the time, he still lived in Brooklyn and the family stayed there until 2014. Olof Marcus Kangro now lives in the suburbs of New York and still enjoys working as a Dynamics AX Functional consultant.
