It is possible to retrieve the message that was deleted from a Bigpond account, particularly if the same was deleted not too long ago. To do this, The first thing you need to do is sign in to your Bigpond (Telstra) email account on the webmail portal. After you are in the inbox, check on the sidebar for a folder that says “Trash” or “Deleted Items” among the folders most times located at the sidebar. Then search for the ‘Move’ or ‘Restore’ buttons which usually allow placing the email back into the inbox or into any other folder of your choice. If the email is not contained in the trash folder, it will also mean that the email cannot be retrieved because it is presumed to have been erased fully.
You can, nonetheless, call Telstra support to see if they have other options. If however one does not wish this same situation to recur in the future, it could be wise to set up an automatic backup of all the important emails that you need in order to have them safe and make sure such emails cannot be lost.
