Murphy was quite excited to share the weekly updates regarding the happenings in the school. He began with how the staff and faculties are geared up to prepare for the IBDP mock examinations. He shared some pictures that indicate that the school was taking utmost care and following all the COVID-19 protocols given the risks.

He also mentioned the three OIS teams of four students who participated in the High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM) in November 2020. It offered students the opportunity to compete in a team setting using mathematics to present solutions to real-world modeling problems. A total of 779 teams, with up to 4 students each, from 302 schools and 20 countries/regions took part in the competition. All teams worked at their own schools within the contest window of November 4-17, 2020. Each high school team chose from two modeling problems offered, and then constructed their solutions. With great pride and pleasure that he shared that of 3 teams from OIS-JVLR, two teams were declared as 'Finalists' and the third received an Honourable mention.

Recognizing the achievement of Grade 11 IBDP Economics students Oishani, Dev, Ryan and Nandini, Peter spoke that they have been invited to write an article for award-winning economist Kate Raworth's website. It is such a proud moment for the school. He also congratulated Neel Menon who has just received another international award for his short documentary film entry. He was in awe at the talent of all the students at OIS.

Concluding the highlights he said, “It was a very happening week for the Oberoi International School and everyone seemed to be super excited for the new beginnings”.
