MISSION SAN JOSE, CA - Five Pet Place, a California producer of designer pet products, today announces Mr. Nuts, a cat with an impeccable track record of accurately predicting the outcome of future events, has projected the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are going to have a boy.

What would the British Royal Family think of a cat using a litter box to predict the gender of a future prince or princess? "Oh, I'm pretty sure the Queen would sic her corgis after me if our paths ever crossed," said Ostrofsky.

How the Projection was Made

According to company founder Michael Ostrofsky, Mr. Nuts was provided with two identically prepared Five Pet Place litter trays to make his selection. One box had a light blue bow while the other had pink to indicate potential genders.

"The bows lasted about 45 seconds," said Ostrofsky. "Mr. Nuts thought they were cat toys and quickly turned them into confetti. We ended up tossinga coin and designated the Litter Tray on the rightas 'boy' and the one on the left as 'girl.' He made his call and the end result is he thinks they're going to have a boy."

A Formal Undertaking

Given the British Royal Family was involved with the projection, Ostrofsky made sure his company's undertaking was a formal one.

"We're lucky Mr. Nuts is a black and white tuxedo cat," said Ostrofsky. "So he was in formal attire the entire time. We'd also like to think his Five Pet Place Litter Trays, which retail for $325 and feature crown moulding in their design, provided a proper setting as well."

As for how the Royal Family would react to the news? "Oh, I'm pretty sure the Queen would sic her corgis after me if our paths ever crossed," said Ostrofsky.

A Cat Who Knows His Business

Mr. Nuts, named after his rather prominent "manly bits" before he was fixed, has quite the track record with his predictions.

He made his first before the Pittsburgh Steelers played the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV in February, 2011. Despite living in a house full of Steelers fans, he correctly picked a Packers win. The following year, he correctly predicted the New York Giants would win Super Bowl XLVI. Last month, his skills were applied outside of sports for the time. His track record remained perfect as he successfully predicted the outcome of the American presidential election.

That said, he doesn't accept every challenge. "When Snooki got pregnant, the only thing he did in the house was cough up a furball," said Ostrofsky.

Meet Mr. Nuts

A resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Nuts adopted the Ostrofsky family approximately two years ago. "My parents would see him walking around the neighborhood," said Ostrofsky. "Then he showed up in their yard. Then he charmed his way inside. He's quite the character.

Even though he's a big and intimidating looking cat, he's actually quite gentle and loving. He's Mom's lap cat. They watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune together every night -- and he just purrs and purrs the entire time. He gets along great with all their other cats, too.

During the day, he sleeps in a heated cat bed with his paws in the air and tongue hanging out. He loves his cat scratchers and goes wacky over catnip, too. Instead of drinking water out of a bowl like a normal cat, he goes and sits in the kitchen sink until Mom or Dad turns the faucet on for him."
