I love Easter! What is not to love? Easter is all about welcoming Spring. The change of seasons from dark and cold, to light, bright and renewal of the land. Everything bursts into bloom. Baby animals abound.
Since I was a kid, I have always loved dying Easter eggs. There is something very earthy about decorating an egg, and boy is it fun! It does not matter to me whether one interprets the re-birth of Christ as a metaphor or if one truly believes he ascended. How about? The Roman guards went to lunch and his disciples camping outside his tomb, heard him go “psttt.” They rolled the stone away from the grotto he was being held in, and he walked out. Makes sense to me. No matter. Easter is about gathering, feasting and celebrating life and abundance!
Easter is a holiday of rebirth and we honor the egg as a feminine symbol of the fruit of life. It is a grand holy holiday honoring; one of the most honored spiritual hypnotherapy teachers of all time, as well as the glory of prosperity, birth, re-birth and creative growth. Gather with friends and community and celebrate! Celebrate children and babies, and all youth. It is a joyous celebration of all that is good and lovely on earth. Enjoy!
Hypnosis is a word derived from Greek mythology, the god of sleep Hypnos. In 1843, Scottish surgeon James Braid (1795-1860) used the name Hypnos to create the term “hypnotism,” which he introduced in his treatise “Neuryphology, or the rationale of nervous sleep.” “Hypnotism” (also known in the 19th century as “Braidism”), the science or practice of artificially inducing a sleep-like trance, gave rise to the coinage of “hypnosis,” the term for trance itself.
