Anton R Williams of Grand Rapids MI, the owner of the namesake Anton R Williams Holding Company, is using the latest technology devices to enhance the efficiency of oil and gas production. This improvement is linked with lower carbon and methane releases from oil and gas wells, pipelines, storage facilities and more. The devices are connected to a cloud based IoT solution which helps with preventative maintenance on leaks.
The next phase of the energy efficiency program with the holding company is to install carbon capture devices which will remove carbon from the atmosphere at the facilities and then store it back underground. Carbon capture has been demonstrated in several studies to be an assistance as a potential solution to help to achieve net zero climate goals.
The company is also testing the development of hydrogen and lithium at existing oil and gas facilities to advance the production of renewable energy. Several test runs have showed that hydrogen and lithium can be produced at aging oil and gas facilities. Both of these critical products are used in some renewable energy operations.
