TORONTO, It is said that an organization is only as good as its people. The role of Human Resources (HR) is to attract, retain, and develop this most important organizational asset. HR as a strategic partner ensures an organization has the best pool of talent to remain innovative, competitive, and ahead in the industry. Centennial College’s three year HR program explores trends to prepare for the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s work environment, and helps graduates seek out exciting career opportunities by training in a field that is continuously growing and by offering three co-op work terms in between its nine semester curriculum.

Centennial’s human resources college allows students to gain experience with popular business software such as Microsoft Suite and SAP and enhance their career opportunities by having them earn a diploma that reflects the high standards of learning recognized in Canada and abroad. They learn in small class environments with practical teaching methods including case studies, simulations, and project-based learning from faculty who have business world experience and up-to-date knowledge of current trends.

At Centennial, students get to increase their marketability with the opportunity to earn the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation granted by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), the CIM™ designation from the Canadian Institute of Management, and the PCP™ designation from the Canadian Payroll Association. Students can apply their credits towards further study at the degree level through one of the college’s many articulation agreements. Qualified graduates may also be eligible to participate in an articulated program with selected universities, institutes and professional associations. These partnerships allow graduates to apply academic credit towards further study. Centennial’s partners include: Algoma University, Athabasca University, Griffith University, Lakehead University, Laurentian University, Nipissing University, Ryerson University, University of New Brunswick, University of Ontario Institute of Technology and the University of Windsor.
