Narendar Yasa is a pharmacist based in Edison, New Jersey. He owns several pharmacies throughout the state and has been adding to his services for his customers in the area since he first earned his pharmacist’s license in New Jersey in 2000. Yasa helped construct a mineral water plant in his home town of Mogilipaka, India, where his mother and some of his family still lives. Yasa learned much about farming and living in the countryside during his early years. He learned that it can be a struggle for people, especially in the isolated villages that don’t have the same services that he has begun to take for granted in his new home in New Jersey. Access to clean drinking water is a large issue for him, one that he has been working on to help his native village for years.

Narendar Yasa not only works to send money back home and help his family and their neighbors build their own infrastructure for prosperity, he also travels back home regularly to help people there with their work as much as possible and to create new opportunities for them by donating his time. Yasa moved around when he was in grade school frequently, often settling in at boarding schools for only a year or two at a time. His parents wanted the best education possible for him. After completing high school at Viswa Shanthi Residential Junior College, Yasa moved to Bangalore to attend Bangalore University. He earned a degree in Pharmacy Research and started working for Vitabiotics. After working for a year there, he returned home to help his mother on her farm. His work to keep his family’s farm afloat was successful through his efforts and he was able to move to the United States to start his own career.

Narendar Yasa never forgot about his hometown, however, and he continues to donate time and money to the development of new infrastructure that will help not only his family’s farm, but the entire village as a whole as well. Yasa takes his professional duties seriously to help his customers in New Jersey while giving back to the community that gave him every opportunity to be successful.
