The Southeastern Technical School offers more than 70 pathways in today’s most innovative fields. It is recognized as one of the region’s best two-year technical colleges. The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program named Southeast Technical Institute among the nation’s top 150 community colleges eligible to compete for the 2021 Aspen Prize. During the summer, the institute offers general education and academic program courses, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training and customized and contract training.

The institute offers 98% of graduates become licensed or certified, accredited programs, financial aid and payment plan options, low tuition costs, job skills for today’s demanding economy, hands-on laboratory and clinical experience, small class sizes, full-time, part-time, day and evening options, student support services, career planning, job placement and state-of-the-art equipped labs.

It provides training in several vocational areas, constantly striving to meet the training needs of the students and area businesses. At the present time, STI offers day and evening programs including Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Electricity, HVAC, Medical Assisting, Plumbing and Practical Nurse. In addition, there are several evening continuing education courses.

The institute prides itself on graduating highly qualified individuals in each program. Each of the students receives career assistance. It is important that students receive training not only in their chosen field but also in their employability skills.
