Palm Angels T-shirt is a new boy on the block, a skate-inspired venture. The art director of Moncler, Francesco Ragazzi, launched a major project in the early 2010s. Ragazzi took some black & white photos during his tour of the LA skate scene, which he then collected as a coffee table book. Ragazzi said that in the novel he tried to "reinterpret the skaters" by making it into "a bit grunge, a little cheap" and "a way of art." The hype that Pharrell Williams had built in his book and in his foreword, which he had produced when he was released in 2014, led to the first ready-to-wear catalogue in Fall 2015.
