A cake smash photograph is where a one-year-old kid makes a mess with the cake while a professional newborn photographer captures the fun-filled moment.

At Lily Hayes Photography, clients don't have to worry about props and setup, as the photographer has got them covered at her studio. However, the parents do need to make arrangements for the cake and baby's clothes.
Additionally, if the clients have a theme in mind, the photographer will ensure the cake smash photography session goes accordingly to that, and the props and setup complement the theme. While talking about her services, the Dallas-based newborn photographer mentioned, "During the cake smash photography, we also offer complimentary family shots and 1st-year baby pictures as well. We start the shoot with a few family pictures captured in an all-white foreground. Then, we move to a few creative family grouping shots. We also take a few baby and mom and dad shots at the end. We let parents do an outfit change for baby's solo pictures if they want. But one thing we can tell you from experience is that babies get fussier after the change, and it can be challenging to calm them down."

In all her years of business, Lily Hayes has photographed over 500 newborns and young kids.
